He always wanted to sing, whether from the dark, underground karaoke rooms or shining in the light of the National Auditorium. He has achieved the former and the latter, helping many others to do so as well on the way.
In that way, his career has included team management from a Human Resources Director position in large companies, where his recipe for success was to involve himself and involve others with different ideas always betting on the people.
An example? The first idea of Singerhood was his, and also his were the initial initiatives to start up the enterprise and setting up the team. A slogan? \"dream it, turn it around creatively, drive those who know... And make it happen\". That's his way. And singing along too.
He gathers awards and experience as a singer or director of courses, events and choral groups (e.g., European Academy for Young Choral Conductors, the Coro Nacional Joven de la Confederación Coral Española).
He does not hesitate to direct groups of any kind: children or beyond adulthood, professionals or newbies. He plays with them all, and with all of them, makes each rehearsal a show that precedes the real show. It is about having fun and learning, leaving a wise aftertaste in the vocal cords. Marcos is an exceptional pedagogue, a side of his that has also developed in activities such as the creation and presentation of programs in Radio Clásica (RNE) or his work as a teacher in the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Segovia Chorus.
The composing vein is realized in assignments (for KEA, Comunidad de Madrid or the Fundación Canal) and awards (such as the \"Ciudad de La Laguna\", \"Amadeus\" or the \"Magerit\").
Singerhood is the answer to one of his many \"we've got to do something.” Something that allows him to teach, to support choirs, to drive and empower composers... and having fun. Who's buying?
He has been part of several choral groups in several universities (Valladolid, Sevilla, Cork, Politécnica de Madrid). He then, pretending that he was the holder of some superior academics, also dared to co-found a choir within a company.
In between choirs, he has worked in several multinational companies leading the internal corporate communications team using technological channels. In between comuniqués, he has also written publications that managed to earn some merit before judges, editors and the public. Find more at Linkedin.
Now, he has gathered all of the above passions into Singerhood. (That's how he knows that Santa exists.)
